I am always my worst critic. I need to stop that. Make that inner voice go away - somewhere else. lol! But it's always a constant struggle. I do think being "forced" to design last week helped kick me back into gear some. I actually have some new ideas and I'm getting excited about designing again. I think that is the most important thing. It was some good advice another designer told me this week and I'm going to try and take that heart. Get excited about what you want to design and it'll all flow from there. :)

Thanks so much Nikki! It is definitely no fun with a house of sick people. Luckily I *think* we are finally getting over it. Chicago has had a relatively mild winter - real mild - and Feb got a bit colder again. Maybe the back and forth of temps here had something to do with the colds. It's been a few years since we've had running sickness back to back to back. Glad we're on the mend!

Jen, it's good to see you back on your blog. I think you have may have been a little to hard on yourself. I am glad to see that you are now working on enjoying the moment.

Congrats on paying off your debt using your scrapbook design profits! The deal for two of your collections to be sold in a big way sounds wonderful, too!

Hang in there! :)

Congratulations on those collections being released, Jen!

We had a bout 4- 5 months, 2 1/2 years ago where we were oh-so sick. And it was almost back-to-back illnesses. My kids picked up every nasty bug going around and it was awful. Whenever they shared it with me because I had seasonal (winter-spring) allergies going on I was wiped out. After a while you become grateful just to get through a week without someone being sick.

It does end eventually! And yes, you do need to enjoy yourself and regroup or you will be running on empty!

Jen we use Idea Paint at Regus in place of white boards in our conference rooms. It is way cool!!! It wipes up as cleanly as a white board as long as you use the proper spray. Windex and Fantastik not a good idea :-(

There's a funny comment about this in my head somewhere, but it's refusing to show itself at the moment. I'll get back to you.

I was thinking the same thing... only a mile on the treadmill isn't too bad. It was 50 degrees yesterday but it's supposed to snow 4-5 inches in the next 24 hours. ugh... so I'll be on the treadmill. Snow running is not quite what I had in mind. lol! Don't rush yourself on the mirror. Get one for yourself if you think it'll help motivate you.I actually think it lies to me too. The camera on the other hand... doesn't lie. Unfortunately. lol!

Go, Jen, go! You can do this... a mile a day! Even when the weather turns nasty and too cold, a mile on the treadmill isn't so bad.

I still owe you a full-length mirror shot, huh? I'll take one for you today when I get to the gym. Because I'm still procrastinating on buying one of those long mirrors. :)

Jen - I've often had to use "good enough" in order to keep some order in my life. "Good Enough" for me means "it's a good place to stop, step back, BREATHE, and put it away for a bit." Sometimes "away for a bit" might be five minutes ... other times a day [or month], but "good enough" is a great phrase to use! I know that 2010 was a rough year for you, but I am so happy you had a much better 2011 and I fully expect 2012 to be just as good. :-)
